The Northwest Human Resource Management Association's (NHRMA) 70th Annual Conference and Tradeshow will be held in Kennewick, Washington at the Three Rivers Convention Center. HR professionals from across the Northwest will come together to learn about what is hot in HR and to network with their peers. This is the first time the conference will be held in the Tri Cities of Kennewick, Richland and Pasco. The local chapters of the Society of Human Resource Management are excited and determined to host a very special conference to showcase the area. The conference will feature nationally-known speakers and is expected to draw over 550 HR decision-makers from top companies in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska.
Many of our outstanding successes and achievements are frequently a result of learning, networking, and collaboration. Strategic organizational partnering is essential for today’s HR professional. Keeping abreast of the many changes and challenges affecting the workplace is vital to the development of a successful workforce strategy that brings together the needs and interests of employees and business. The NHRMA 70th Annual Conference and Tradeshow promises to be packed full of concurrent sessions and other opportunities highlighting a variety of HR issues, ideas, trends, challenges, and opportunities. It is a must attend event for today’s HR Professionals who want to add to their HR knowledge toolkit. This conference will be an excellent venue for networking with other HR professionals and subject matter experts, obtaining HR re-certification credits and an opportunity to have some fun.
The conference this year is providing six workshop tracks. The following are the tracks and a brief definition as defined by SHRM’s Competencies Toolkit:
This program is approved for recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification requirements. Conference registrants who attend the three keynote presentations and all concurrent sessions can earn up to 12.5 recertification credit hours. In addition, one pre-conference workshop and 7 concurrent sessions have also been approved for global and/or strategic credit, as well as 2 of the general sessions; check the icons with the workshop descriptions for those sessions.
A worksheet is provided on page 45 of the Conference Program book to record the sessions you attend. Pre-conference workshops carry additional 2-4 credit hours each, and should be entered for recertification credit separately from overall Conference attendance. Certificates with the HRCI ID number, verifying attendance, will be provided to participants at the end of the pre-conference workshop.
