Executive Sponsor Lunch with NHRMA Board Members
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

Executive Level Sponsors (from $7,500 and up) will receive a special invitation to kick-off the conference at the Tuesday Executive Sponsor Luncheon with NHRMA Board Members and Committee Hosts. The agenda includes an overview of the conference, an update on NHRMA membership, tips on how to best partner with HR professionals as a service/product provider, discussion of current and emerging issues (needs) facing HR organizations, and an executive summary of NHRMA current initiatives.


Welcome Reception in Tradeshow
5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

The conference theme is "United in One Vision" in the wide world of Human Resources. Enjoy your favorite beverage while exploring the diverse and wide-ranging world of HR resources and solutions. Your complimentary conference tote bag, received at registration, will contain a "passport book." As you travel the tradeshow regions, exhibitors will initial your passport for hearing about their products or services. In addition, you will receive an initial under “Luxury Class” for providing your business card. On Wednesday, when finished with your excursions through the exhibits, drop off your passport book to enter the drawing during lunch between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm. Fabulous prizes will be awarded for number of exhibits visited and for special stamps received. Pick up your prize during the final tradeshow break from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Mingle, learn and network -- and go for a prize!


Winery Dinner and Entertainment
6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Transportation will be provided.

Relax and unwind to the soothing sounds of jazz while enjoying dinner at a premier Columbia Valley Winery. There are two wonderful wineries to choose from, Terra Blanca or Tagaris. Both locations will offer a delicious dinner, wine tasting, and live jazz music. In addition, Terra Blanca will offer small group tours of their unique wine caves.

Terra Blanca Terra Blanca is a Tuscan inspired winery located in the Red Mountain area twenty (20) minutes west of Kennewick. This is one of the premier red grape producing areas of Washington State. Terra Blanca features a beautiful covered terrace where you can watch the sun set, socialize and enjoy a spectacular Eastern Washington Fall evening.

Tagaris is a Mediterranean inspired winery located in Richland; just minutes from the convention center. They offer a beautiful Old World setting and a spectacular patio area. Sit back, relax, enjoy the music, and catch up with friends on the first night of the conference.

Annual Fun Run/Walk
6:30 am – 7:30 am
Meet at the Red Lion Hotel Lobby promptly at 6:30 pm
N. 1101 Columbia Center Blvd. (next to Red Robin)

Start your day right with the annual Fun Run/Walk. This 5K course will wake you up and get you ready for an extraordinary day of learning, networking, and fun.

Wine Reception and SHRM Silent Auction
5:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Plan to attend the social hour where you can relax, enjoy a good beverage, and look through the SHRM Silent Auction.

The annual SHRM Silent Auction will begin at 5:00 pm and will be available through dinner until 9:00 pm. We encourage you to view the gift baskets, certificates and many other wonderful items and then bid on your favorites. The SHRM Foundation conducts research and provides valuable resources to our HR profession.

The funds raised for the SHRM Foundation go towards the following programs:

  • Regional Scholarship Program
    • $100,000 awarded annually to working SHRM members
    • $20,000 per region
    • Academic and certification scholarships

  • 50,000 Scholarship program for SHRM student members
    • 10 Undergrad awards; $2,500 each
    • 4 Graduate awards; $5,000 each
    • 10 Certification scholarships; $500 each

  • DVD's are also available for training for both your chapters and your business

Come out to support the SHRM Foundation and assist with the fundraising efforts.


Murder Mystery Dinner, Entertainment and continuation of SHRM Silent Auction
6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Get ready for an exciting evening of mystery and intrigue. Enjoy the transformation of the Convention Center as it is turned into a stage involving a murder mystery where you will be at the center of it all. Enjoy a delicious dinner while you use your detective skills to discover who committed the crime. Will someone at your table be named a suspect? Will you or your friends leave dinner in handcuffs? Will you be able to solve the murder before the killer strikes again?

Prizes will be awarded for those who create the best story for resolving the crime and also for the person who is actually able to solve the mystery. Get ready to follow the clues!

After satisfying your appetite with good food and solving the murder mystery, come and join us for our big After Party. There will be a professional DJ joining us to entertain with a vast array of tunes. Enjoy dancing, visiting and let loose with good friends.
