Who is eligible for the Member Registration Fee?

A member of SHRM in good standing.

 

Where will conference registration be located?

The Conference Registration Desk will be located at the Dena’ina Civic & Convention Center’s 3rd Floor Lobby and will open at 7:00 am on Monday, October 1, 2012.

 

Where will the SHRM/NHRMA Volunteer Leader Meeting & Workshop be held?

The SHRM/NHRMA Volunteer Leader Meeting & Workshop will be held in the Grand Pacific Ballroom at the Marriott Anchorage Downtown at 8:00 am - 11:30 am on Monday, October 1, 2012. You do not need to check-in at the Conference Registration Desk prior to attending.

 

NOTE: All current and future volunteers are encouraged to attend. Advance registration is required and is complimentary.

 

When does the Conference officially start?

The Conference begins with a round of Concurrent Workshops on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 1:45 pm  All workshops included in the Conference will be denoted by the first letter of their scheduled day (M=Monday, T=Tuesday, W=Wednesday).

 

Which workshops are considered Pre-Conference Intensive Workshops and require a fee?

All Pre-Conference Intensives will be offered Monday, October 1, 2012 from 8:00 am to 11:15 am. These workshops will be denoted in the agenda as Pre-Conference (PC) and require payment of an additional registration fee.

 

Can I just attend one day of the Conference?

Yes, there is a one day option available for purchase at the time of registration.

 

Can I bring a guest to the NHRMA Evening Event?

Yes, guest tickets are available for $65 per person, and can be purchased through the online registration site. Already registered? Please email Register@ConferenceSolutionsInc.com to add a guest ticket to your registration.

 

I need to cancel my registration. What is the cancellation policy?

All cancellations must be made in writing to the address below and postmarked by Friday, August 24, 2012 to receive a full refund, less a $100 administrative fee. Cancellations received after Friday, August 24, 2012 will not be eligible for a refund; however, an alternate person may attend for the registrant. See the following question regarding the conference substitution policy.

I can no longer attend the Conference but my colleague is available. What is the substitution policy?

If you are unable to attend the Conference, you can transfer your registration to another person by notifying NHRMA in writing by email, fax, or mail by Friday, September 21, 2012 at the above address.

 

Are there any academic credits available for this Conference?

Yes, the Conference has been approved for HRCI credits. For more information, please visit the conference website (link to HRCI Credit page).

 

After the Conference, how do I submit my HRCI credits?

Please use the Recertification Credit Form that will be provided in your Conference Program to keep track of the workshops you attend. For questions about recertification policies and procedures, please visit the recertification page at www.hrci.org .

 

Can I obtain a Certificate of Attendance?

There will not be a Certification of Attendance available, but a Recertification Credit Form will be included in the back of your Conference Program.

 

I have some dietary restrictions/ special needs, how do I inform the Conference Planners?

When you create your registration account, there will be a field where you can enter any dietary restrictions or special needs information.  A member of our team will be in contact to assist you, as needed.

 

I would like to reserve a hotel room in Anchorage, close to where the Conference is taking place. Which hotel should I contact?
