Welcome from the NHRMA ‚Äč2014 Conference Committee

The Inland Northwest SHRM Chapter (INSHRM) would like to invite you to attend the 76th Annual NHRMA Conference and Tradeshow in beautiful downtown Spokane Washington. The Conference will be held Monday September 29th through Wednesday October 1st at the Spokane Conference Center.

Why visit Spokane? The Spokane Conference Center sits along the banks of the Spokane River in the heart of Downtown Spokane and is part of Riverfront Park, home of the 1974 Worlds Fair. The name “Spokane” is derived from the Salish term meaning “Children of the Sun” and living up to that name, Spokane boasts over 260 sunny days each year. Downtown Spokane was recently named one of the top Ten Fall Foliage destinations in the U.S. and the Spokane convention center is a prime viewing area of the changing seasons and spectacular fall colors. With a walkable downtown area, Spokane mixes charm, vibrant energy and the cultural offerings of a much bigger city. With dining, shopping, entertainment only a few blocks from the conference center and hotel, it is entirely possible to walk everywhere. Downtown Spokane’s attractions include museums, great parks and theaters as well as dozens of shops and restaurants. We would encourage you to come early and enjoy the sites, tastes, and sounds of Spokane prior to the conference. You will not regret the visit.

The theme for the 2014 Conference is “HR – Above and Beyond the Everyday Challenges”. Our goal is to create a learning experience around critical and strategic topics as well as to offer you valuable networking opportunities.  You will leave with successful, sustainable, and innovative best practices and programs critical to you as Human Resources professionals and to your businesses.

We will be offering six separate learning tracks in 2014. These will include; “Workplace Relations, Employment Law & Risk Management”, “Strategic Business Management & Organizational Effectiveness”, a global track titled “Global HR”, “Talent Acquisition & Development”, “Total Rewards”, and last “Workforce Planning & Analytics”.

We will look forward to seeing you at the 76th Annual NHRMA Conference and Tradeshow!
