Welcome to Spokane!

On behalf of the NHRMA board, we are excited to have you join us in celebrating NHRMA’s 88th Annual NHRMA Conference & Tradeshow in Spokane, WA. The conference will be held at the Spokane Convention Center starting September 9, 2026 through September 11, 2026. The theme for this year's conference is "The Advantage: Leading and Humanizing the Future of Work."

 

NHRMA 2026 will highlight the essential role of HR leaders  in shaping the workplace of tomorrow. It will emphasize leadership development, fostering engagement, and building inclusive, resilient cultures while embracing technology and tools—including AI—where they support people and processes. The conference will explore strategies for inspiring teams, navigating change, and balancing innovation with the human-centered approach that defines effective HR leadership.

Northwest Human Resource Management Association (NHRMA) has a proud tradition and history of service to the human resource professionals in the Northwestern United States and British Columbia dating from its formation in October 1939. The organization currently services HR professionals and students in Alaska, Oregon, and Washington.

 

NHRMA (known as PNPMA at the time) became affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (known as ASPA at the time) in January 1972. The Northwest Human Resource Management Association (NHRMA) provides professional development opportunities for HR professionals and students in the states of Alaska, Oregon, and Washington who are members in good standing with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). SHRM membership has many benefits, including the opportunity for professionals to participate in a local chapter.
